The Teem App puts workplace tools in the hands of employees, no matter where they are. Get ready to make Check-in even easier, offer smarter ways to find spaces to book, and give users turn-by-turn directions to their upcoming meetings.
Why doesn’t the app show my work calendar as an option?
Your work calendar must be synced to your device, available via the native calendaring application ("Calendar" on iOS, typically "Google Calendar" on Android). You can sync your calendar directly to your device or you can share your calendar (with full edit permissions) to your personal calendar if your personal calendar is already synced on your device.
To sync to your device: Settings > Accounts and Passwords > Add Account
Note: In order to book spaces, you must add your work calendar to your device. However, without adding your work calendar to your device, you still have full functionality regarding:
- Automatic Check-in via beacons and Check-in via notification and meeting cards
- View of available spaces
- View of upcoming meetings
- Space filter for availability, amenities, capacity, and location
- Let others know when you’re running late
- and more
Why can’t I book a space with the calendar I’ve chosen?
Be sure the calendar you sync with the Teem app is your work calendar.
Be sure the calendar you sync with the Teem app has full edit permissions enabled.
Why can’t I add a space to a synced calendar event?
You can only edit an event that you own. If you’re not the organizer of the event, you can still book a space for the duration of the event but it will create a new corresponding event in your calendar.
Why can’t I book a room in advance?
The new Teem app only allows you to book ad hoc, but you can add a room to an existing event that has no room added. On events without spaces, you’ll see "Find a space" on those events. You can also see tomorrow's events once your current ones are wrapped up.
Research indicates that users prefer to use a computer for advance booking. If they do end up in a situation where they have to use their app to book in advance, they choose apps they're already familiar with like Google Calendar. Teem is focused on solving the quick, in-the-moment problems a user encounters.
